DRIVE · LEGAL INFORMATION

Privacy & cookies

DRIVE limits data collection to what is useful for operating, securing and improving the service.

Data controller

The data controller is the entity operating DRIVE. Its legal name, registered address and dedicated data-protection contact must be completed in the legal notice before the definitive commercial launch.

Data processed

  • account and contact data;
  • Driver profile, Garage, vehicles, photos and modifications;
  • relationships between Drivers, invitations and Event participation;
  • Marketplace listings and contact details the seller chooses to share;
  • organizer, ticketing and transaction data when those services are used;
  • technical data required for security and audience measurement.

Purposes

This data is used to provide the requested service, secure accounts, manage community features, display selected content, administer Events and transactions, meet legal obligations and improve DRIVE.

Photo review before publication

When a photo is uploaded for Garage, Marketplace or a public Event, DRIVE may automatically review its content to confirm that it is appropriate for an automotive platform. DRIVE does not automatically blur faces or number plates. Users must check visible details and respect the rights of people shown before publishing. A temporary copy may be kept in a private storage area during review. The published photo may be rotated and compressed without automatic removal of details.

Location for nearby Events

The ‘Today near you’ feature is optional and based on your consent. DRIVE requests location permission only when you activate this feature. The position sent to DRIVE is deliberately reduced to an approximate accuracy of about one kilometre and is used solely to calculate distance from Events in the Agenda. It is not shown to other Drivers and DRIVE does not track movement in the background. You can update your position manually or disable the feature at any time in Garage → Profile; disabling it deletes the stored coordinates. DRIVE may retain the date consent was granted and withdrawn as evidence of consent management without retaining disabled location coordinates.

Audience measurement and consent

DRIVE uses the analytics tool integrated into its hosting. Before you make a choice, audience measurement operates without storing an analytics identifier on your device. If you accept analytics, a session identifier may be stored locally to improve statistical quality. If you refuse, analytics tracking is disabled. You can change your choice later.

Strictly necessary cookies

When you sign in, DRIVE uses a session cookie required for authentication and account security. This cookie is not used for advertising.

Recipients

Data is accessible only to people and providers who need it to deliver DRIVE: hosting and infrastructure, storage, security, payment when that function is used, and the relevant organizers or members when the feature requires it.

Retention

Data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service and then for periods required for security, evidence, accounting or legal obligations. Content deleted by a member is no longer made visible, subject to applicable backups and legal obligations.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
